Remember your not perfect

So, todays topic is an important one to everybody no matter who you are. It revolves around the understanding that you will make mistakes, and that is okay. If we were all perfect it would be a pretty benign and boring existence after all. That being said the important lesson is to remember to be mindful of your thoughts and feelings regarding this.     Being mindful takes practice and a lot of people are asking "So what is being mindful anyways?". Being Mindful is the ability to actually know what is going on inside your head from those stray thoughts that wander through to understanding you are feeling something. That being said I use an app called headspace. If you have never meditated before it's good to start with the basics. Well this is slightly embarassing

Boy was I so excited to get started down the path of getting healthy. I was prepared and then boom! Self sabotage enter the room grinning and knocks me down. I, like know, was working in the exciting field of technology. For those unfamiliar with the subject think of being constantly demanded 24x7, sitting sedentary in a chair, and lots of snacks as far as the eye can see. That being said it wasn't very healthy. Back then my A1C had started to climb and was in the low 6's. I had a doctor who kept stressing that if you eat right and cut out the bad stuff you might be able to control it. Little did the doctor know that self-control was a big issue for me when I got around things like bread, ice cream, and pasta. My favorite food, after all, was pizza and I made every exc...
